Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology Occupational and Environmental Health Nursing Occupational and Environmental Medicine Occupational Hygiene Occupational Injury Prevention Occupational Safety Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology The purpose of the OEE is to provide doctoral-level training to the next generation of public health scientists in academia, governmental agencies, private industry, and non-governmental organizations who will address emerging and re-emerging occupational health problems of working people in the United States and globally, and master’s level training to individuals who will practice in the occupational safety and health arena. Graduates of the program will have the knowledge and skills needed to identify the causes of occupational related diseases, and how to improve the overall health of working populations. This program provides a multifaceted approach to advanced academic and research training, with a primary goal to prevent and control occupational injuries. LEARN MORE Occupational Safety Occupational Safety The Occupational Safety (OS) Training Program prepares safety professionals to be ready to respond to employee and organizational safety needs in both small and large companies, within a wide range of public, private, and governmental entities. The curriculum is an intensive training program focused on the application of established OSH principles to prevent, reduce or control a wide range of OSH hazards. The curricula ensure that students obtain the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to become occupational safety leaders. Required and elective courses focus on the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of workplace hazards. LEARN MORE Tuition Assistance The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) provides stipend support and tuition reimbursement for eligible students enrolled in full-time programs of study. Students must be a U.S. citizen. International students are not eligible for a traineeship unless they have been admitted for permanent residency. This financial support is determined annually based on federal budget appropriations.
